Villains are a big part of film and story telling in general, they can steal the show or only be in the movie for 10 minutes, or steal the show while only being in the movie for 10 minutes. And when the villain gets his comeuppance and meets his demise it can be satisfying to us as an audience. Therefore I have decided to count down the 12 movie villain deaths that I think are the best whether they're epic, explosive, intense, or just flat-out satisfying these the ones I like the best.

Alec Trevelyan
Cause of Death: Falling from over 100 feet in the air, and then having his plan literally fall on him
What Makes It Memorable: Where do I began? Well I guess I'll start with the complete and utter overkill. As if falling a great height wasn't enough, the entire goldeneye device falls on top of him completely destroying his body. Second, the crazy cinematography and Sean Bean's hilarious reaction combined are priceless. Alec Trevelyan is easily one of the worst villains from any movie I've seen. His plan sucks, his backstory sucks, and his motivation is just the WORST. And of all the James Bond villains, he is the worst example of monologing, who has not one, not two, but three opportunities to kill James Bond and chooses to do nothing about it. For such a terrible villain this death was just jaw-dropping. I honestly debated putting this at number one, since I think he's a terrible villain, but because of his amazingly over-the-top death scene, there was never any doubt on who would be number one.
Dudley Liam Smith
Cause of Death: Shot in the back.
What Makes It Memorable: Mainly the surprise of his death, and the way it was shot.
Palpatine
Cause of Death: Eitether electrocution or falling to his death, I'm honestly not sure what killed him first.
What Makes It Memorable: Return of the Jedi has my favorite scene in the entire trilogy where Darth Vader has a last minute redemption and kills The Sith Lord. But that's not to say that the death itself isn't spectacular, cause it is, but I'd be lying of I said that most of the reason for this death ranking so highly with me wasn't because of how good the scene is, and it is one of my favorite scenes from any movie. Palpatine electrocutes Luke as he screams in agony, Vader looks at Luke looks at The Emperor, he looks back down at Luke, and with no words you can tell exactly what he's thinking. He grabs The Emperor and throws him down to his death, sacrificing himself to save his son.
Tony Montana
Cause of Death: Shot multiple time and then a final shotgun blast to the back.
What Makes It Memorable: Al Pacino's over-the-top delivery and non-stop swearing. The fact that he snorted up a mountain of cocaine before-hand. The dramatic fall to his death symbolizing his fall from the top of the gangster totempole and the numerous times he was shot.
Frank Costello
Cause of Death: Shot.
What Makes It Memorable: Though the death seems basic enough it's the way it's done that makes it memorable. After having been shot Frank makes his way to a secluded area to catch his breath where he's then confronted by Colin Sullivan a man who he once considered to be a son. After an excellent series of dialogue Frank pulls out his gun and is then shot by Sullivan as he takes his last breath. Though some may prefer Sullivan's death at the end of the film I still prefer this one for it's execution.
Tyler Durden
Brad Pitt making another appearance on the list
Cause of Death: Shot through the mouth
What Makes It Memorable: The smoke coming from Tyler's mouth after smoking his cigarette as the audience realizes where the smoke is coming from. His fall, turning to the camera and showing the audience the hole in his head. The way he disapears when he falls.
Adolf Hitler
Cause of Death: Shot in the face repeatedly and then blown-up.
What Makes It Memorable: The fact that it's Adolf Hitler being shot in the face repeatedly and then blown-up in a movie theatre.
Frank Nitti
Cause of Death: Thrown off a roof top
What Makes It Memorable: Frank taunted Eliot Ness about not being able to kill him, and the utter surprise he has combined with his screams after being thrown off make this minor character death one to remember.
Jesse James
Cause of Death: Shot in the back of the head.
What Makes It Memorable: A lot of the film is very good at showing us Jesse's downfall. He wanted to die, but he fell in love with his own legacy, so he had someone else do it. And the film shows how much he pushed Robert Ford to killing until finally giving him the gun, sealing his fate. When the scene finally came it was like witnessing an historical event. Not to mention Brad Pitt's excellent acting. If you haven't seen this film I'd recommend it.
The Shark
Cause of Death: Having a hydrogen tank thrown in his mouth and then having the hydrogen tank shoot, therefore blowing him up in a bloody demise.
What Makes It Memorable: 3 things... The Suspense, The Build-Up, and the Pay Off
