We've all heard the expression "not all men," and we all have engaged in the long, drawn out eye roll when that person stands there smugly, claiming to play devil's advocate, as if arguing on the side of anti-sexism is some radical nuance. New York columnist Charles M. Blow summarizes the opposition against the "not all men" argument saying, "Only when men learn to recognize misogyny will we be able to rid the world of it. Not all men are part of the problem, but, yes, all men must be part of the solution."
The "not all men" meme originated in retaliation to men who would use the phrase to try to absolve themselves, personally, of responsibility and treat any discussion on feminism, gender equality, and/or views on the patriarchal society which affects women's wages, safety, and perception of self, as a personal insult.
Since the early 2000s, the "not all men" meme hit the internet with great force. Here, you will find the best collection of pictures of the "not all men" meme, featuring movies such as Jurassic Park, Jaws, and Alien. Check them out, and vote up the funniest representations of the meme.
