Bigfoot, also known as sasquatch, is the name of an ape-like creature that some believe inhabits forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. The question is, who is responsible for causing 'some' to become believers in this legendary creature?

Esteban Sarmiento
Esteban Sarmiento is a primatologist and biologist.He earned a biological anthropology PhD in 1985, and from then until at least 2008 he worked as a research associate at the American Museum of Natural History.
Jeffrey Meldrum
Dr. Jeffrey "Jeff" Meldrum is a Full Professor of Anatomy and Anthropology and a Professor of the Department of Anthropology at Idaho State University. He is an author of several books which cover foot morphology and the study of locomotion in primates.

John Bindernagel
John A. Bindernagel (born 1941) is a wildlife biologist who has sought evidence for Bigfoot since 1963. He published a book in 1998 entitled North America's Great Ape: the Sasquatch. Bindernagel grew up in Ontarion, attended the University of Guelph, and received a PhD in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He moved to British Columbia in 1975 largely because the region is a hot spot for Sasquatch sightings.

Christopher Noël
Christopher Noel is a Yale educated author and Habituation researcher. He is responsible for the development of the backyard bigfoot theory.
Albert Ostman
A Canadian prospector who reported that he was abducted by a Sasquatch and held captive for six days. He stated that the event took place near Toba Inlet, British Columbia in 1924. Albert Ostman also signed a Solemn Declaration indicating that his account of the Sasquatch story was true under oath and by virtue of the Canadian Evidence Act.

Bob Gimlin
A soft spoken rancher, and tracker who went on expeditions into the wild with Roger Patterson. He continues to be a reluctant spokeman in the Bigfoot community.

Roger Patterson
An eccentric rodeo rider and filmmaker who captured what is arguably the best Sasquatch footage on film in Northern California on October 20th, 1967.
Paul Freeman
Paul Freeman is widely known in the Bigfoot community for the Freeman video (1995) that shows the rise and fall of the mid-tarsal break in action.
Grover Krantz
Grover Krantz was a professor of physical anthropology at Washington State University, perhaps most famous to the general public as one of the few scientists not only to research Bigfoot, but also to express his belief in the cryptid's existence. Throughout his professional career, Krantz authored more than 60 academic articles and 10 books on human evolution,[1][2] and conducted field research in Europe, China, and Java.
John Green
Considered by many as the father of Sasquatch Research. He created the first database of (4,000) sightings. He is the author of several books; "Sasquatch the apes among us", “On The Track of The Sasquatch”,  “Year of the Sasquatch” “The Sasquatch File-“Sasquatch: The Apes Among Us”,   “The Best of Sasquatch/Bigfoot”.
