The Best SWTOR Playable Race
SWTOR recently released a new expansion which included a new playable race, so I wanted to see -with this new addition- what the consensus was for people favorite playable race currently in-game.

Vote up your favorites and down your most hated. If you've played the races you vote on, great. But please, feel free to vote based on how "iconic" they feel, or if you just don't like the look of them.

Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR) is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) set in the Old Republic Era of the Star Wars Universe. It was originally released in 2012 by Electronic Arts (EA) and has since recieved multiple updates and expansions (some hated, some not). The game continues to hold a respectable player based with many options for Elder game play.

Mirialan
Mirialan are a near-human playable species for the Jedi Consular, Jedi Knight, Smuggler, and Trooper classes.

Renowned in all corners of the galaxy for their spirituality and strong connection to the Force, the Mirialan endure rigorous mental and physical training rituals to become both formidable warriors and skilled negotiators. Their reputation is not without merit; Mirialan are taken from home at a young age to be educated at one of the many youth academies. There, they are instilled with the cultural ideologies that have been engrained in Mirialan society for hundreds of generations.

Rattataki
Rattataki are a near-human species that are playable for the Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent, and Sith Inquisitor classes. The Rattataki are only available to free-to-play users through the Legacy System.

For eons, the Rattataki have been constantly battling themselves and their fellow inhabitants. Mostly isolated from the outside galaxy, the Rattataki quickly created new ways to kill each other. This penchant for violence has made the species infamous for seeking out any reason to fight. Despite their own oppression and struggles, most Rattataki feel superior to and look down on other enslaved species.

Cathar
The Cathar are a race of feline, bipedal humanoids native to the planet with the same name, a planet of savannas and rough uplands. They are known for their loyalty, passion, and temper. Quick and powerful, they are considered great warriors and dedicated, efficient predators.

As of Game Update 2.1: Customization, players are capable of playing as a Cathar. The unlock can be obtained through the Cartel Market, or through the Legacy System. The species is available to play for every Class.

Cyborg
Cyborg is a playable species. They can be the Trooper, Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent and the Smuggler.

Many of them depicted in the Star Wars universe at large are indeed utterly evil and very dangerous. Cyborgs are individuals who have undergone surgery to either replace or enhance parts of their natural bodies. Augmentations can range anywhere from simple subdermal implants, to full body prosthesis. As of the game's initial pre-release access, only former humans are playable cyborgs.

Miraluka
Miraluka is a playable species for the Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular classes.

Though sharing a common genetic history with the Humans, Miraluka have evolved into a significantly different species, evidenced by the fact that they are born without eyes. On their homeworld of Alpheridies, the only source of light is a red dwarf star which emits light only in the infrared spectrum. Over the centuries, the Miraluka have adapted and developed the ability to see their surroundings through the Force. Miraluka wear decorative veils to conceal their vestigial eye sockets for social reasons, and generally have little trouble assimilating into human society.

Twi'lek
Currently the playable classes for the Twi'lek are the Jedi Consular, Smuggler, Jedi Knight and Sith Inquisitor. The Companion Characters Vette and Zenith is of this species.

Twi'leks are an omnivorous humanoid species originating from the planet Ryloth. Their distinctive features include colorful skin, which varies in pigment from individual to individual, and a pair of shapely prehensile tentacles that grew from the base of their skulls. The tentacles, called "brain-tails," "lekku," "tchun-tchin," or "head-tails" are advanced organs used for communication and cognitive functions. Naturally quick and cunning, they excel in both physical and cognitive skills, and Twi’leks can generally perform feats of dexterity that significantly surpass other species’ capabilities. Twi'leks are often used as slaves, the females primarily as dancers because of their beauty.

Human
Humans are a bipedal sentient race whose primary language is Galactic Basic Standard. They are referred to as the galaxy's most numerous species, due to the fact that they can be born and live on almost all worlds. They have had a hand in the creation of many galactic factions, and are known as one of the oldest species next to the Duros. The Human species is a playable species in-game and is one of the three species automatically available to both Free-To-Play and Preferred Status players.
Zabrak
Zabraks, also known as Iridonians, are a humanoid species that live on the harsh planet Iridonia. They are a playable species for the Smuggler, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Imperial Agent, Sith Inquisitor, Sith Warrior, Bounty Hunter and the Trooper classes.

Independence, confidence, and fierce determination characterize the Zabrak psyche. Most Zabrak do not consider any challenge impossible, no matter how unfavorable the odds, and look down on the weak who fear defeat. A tradition of intense martial training, a second heart, and resistance to physical pain make them exceptional warriors and explorers.

Chiss
The Chiss Ascendancy has sworn allegiance to the Sith Empire. Their political independence has been largely preserved due to this alliance, as has their privacy. However, aside from this agreement, the Chiss Ascendancy has been known to conduct independent reconnaissance missions.
Sith Pureblood
Sith Pureblood is a confirmed playable species for the Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor classes.

Descendants of the original Sith species, the red-skinned Sith Purebloods inherit a legacy long intertwined with the dark side. The ancient Sith were warlike, competitive, and ambitious, and they performed arcane rituals to create powerful Force artifacts. For those Sith in whom the old blood still flows strongly enough to be seen, there exists a strong current of innate darkness, making the rate of Force sensitivity among purebloods near one hundred percent.
