The best comedy films of all time are listed here, in one convenient list of the top comedy movies ever. These hilarious movies are not only laugh-out-loud funny, they're considered to be some of the best movies of all time as well as some of the funniest movies ever.

To be called one of the greatest comedy movies of all time is kind of a big deal, and chances are you'll think some of the comedy films on this list are more deserving of the title than others. This round-up of top comedy movies includes gross-out comedies (Dumb and Dumber, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut), comedy parodies (Spaceballs, This is Spinal Tap), teen comedies (American Pie, Superbad), and plenty of British humor (Monty Python and the Holy Grail, History of the World: Part 1). Whatever you think is the best kind of comedy movie, it's here for you to vote on in this list of the best comedy movies.

What are the best comedy movies ever? What are the funniest movies to watch? This list is here to sort out the "HAHA" funny films from the "ha." movies that are kind of funny, but not so much. Don't see your favorite comedy movie on the list? Make to add it to this list of the greatest comedy movies so that other people will have the chance to laugh as hard as you. If you see a supposedly great comedy movie that you think stinks, make sure to vote it down to the bottom of the list of the greatest comedy films.

The 13+ Dumbest Lawsuits in Recent History
We live in a litigious world and, more importantly, one filled with scam artists and cry babies looking for any excuse to blame their mistakes, problems or minor shortcomings on bigger companies. Here are thirteen cases that will make you want to sue the pants off of someone instead of, you know, "working".

McDonald's Mentally Scars a Man With Napkin Thriftiness
Webster Lucas, a California man who recently had a unsatisfactory visit at a Pacoima, CA McDonald's restaurant, has not had enough...napkins, that is.

On a visit in late January, 2014, Lucas alleges that after asking for an extra napkin with his food, the Manager on duty- described as a Mexican-American- mumbled something that Lucas took to be racially discriminating. He claimed in a letter the location's General Manager that the incident left him "unable to work because of the undue mental anguish and the intentional infliction of emotional distress" caused by the man who may or may not have provided him with an extra napkin.

The price tag Mr. Webster has assigned to his emotional and mental distress?

$1.5 million dollars.

Frivolity: He's Lovin' It!

Man Sues Anheuser-Busch For Showing Hot Women Get Attracted To Normal Guys
In 1991, a man named Richard Overton sued Anheuser-Busch, maker of beers like Budweiser and Bud Light, in light that their advertisements featuring guys scoring with beautiful women do not illustrate the reality that consuming beer will not get you laid.

His concern for the public seems to be pretty evident as clause by clause, he accuses the beer maker of lying to society in order to get them to buy their products and promote the false belief that beer is necessary for social interaction between the sexes. This "false" belief is harmful to society, said the naturally-funny-at-parties Samaritan.

But then the lawsuit turns to its last page, where it claims the advertisements caused poor Overton emotional and physical distress along with financial losses of 10,000 dollars. Sounds like a pretty personal case. The compensation demanded 250 dollars for every day Anheuser-Busch continues to air these ads.

The lawsuit never describes what personal damage was inflicted by Anheuser-Busch onto Overton, though its easy to imagine he tried to emulate one of the ads and ended up getting sick of hypothermia when trying to cool beers on icy mountains. Or maybe he tried hitting on women over and over again drunk on Bud Light until one of them finally gave it to him straight-up cold, leaving him brutally exposed to the harsh reality that advertisements are not a real depiction of life.

Suicidal Person Sues Subway Train Authority
The first time Milo Stephens Jr. tried to commit suicide, he did it by jumping in front of subway train as it pulled into an East Manhattan station way back in 1977. He didn't die, but the aftermath was pretty brutal. We'll just say Stephens didn't emerge from the incident in one piece.

A few months later, the family was able to find an "enterprising personal injury lawyer" who gave a whole new meaning to the term personal injury in legal circumstances. With his help, the family sued the New York City Transit Authority for 650,000 dollars in the guise that the driver of the train did not slow down the car in time and thus was to blame for injuring Stephens, even though he willingly put himself in harm's way.

Astonishingly, they won and the personal injuries weren't so personal anymore.

Strangely, Stephens tried to kill himself again using the same method in 1982, which means that either he needs serious medical help, or burned through that money faster than MC Hammer. Fortunately, New York didn't have anything to worry about as there was no severe "personal damage" this time.

Music Industry Sues Dead Woman's Daughter
In a way, you have to feel bad for the Recording Industry Association of America ever since the digital presence of the Internet became a solid part of music culture. It must really suck to see people steal over and over again the what once was the lucrative gains from selling records and have pretty much no power in stopping them.

All that's left is the law. RIAA lawsuits have increased triple fold and it seems that it doesn't take much to get sued by them. Even the smallest or most insignificant detail can convince the RIAA to press charges. Like, let's say, a death certificate.

Gertrude Walton was accused by the RIAA of making over 700 songs available to illegally download on the Internet. Despite testimonials from her daughter that Ms. Walton hated computers and being sent the official death certificate as a response to the warning letter, the RIAA no less decided that Ms. Walton deserved to be sued.

Ms. Walton was not available to retaliate or defend herself, since she was interred at Greenwood Memorial Park (probably the address the complaints to Ms. Walton were sent to). An RIAA spokesperson said they would try and dismiss the case, trying being the key word here. Perhaps they'll just sue the graveyard and demand they receive all of her flowers instead.

Man Sues Michael Jordan for Looking Like Him
Allen Heckard would like you to know to he is not Michael Jordan. And he would appreciate it if you stop calling him that. Using his own legal words, the years spent dealing with "defamation, permanent injury, and emotional pain and suffering" of being mistaken for His Airness proved to be too much for this 8 years older, three to six inches shorter than the real Michael Jordan, plaintiff.

Heckard sued Micheal Jordan for 416 million dollars because he was stealing his likeness. He also sued Nike for the same amount because they made Michael Jordan one of the most recognizable men in the world. Why 416 million each, you ask?

"Well, you figure with my age and you multiply that by seven and, ah, then I turn around and, ah, I figure that's what it all boils down to." That's why, Heckard says after he paid the 206 dollar fee to file the case. He had no lawyer to help him, but he did have enough money and legal rights to file the case and bring it to a judge, meaning that you use his age, a fee and bad math to come up with exactly (give or take) $416 Million.

The lawsuit was quickly dropped afterward, presumably because Nike's lawyers found Heckard and discussed with him about the ways they would counter-sue and therefore legally whoop his ass.

"Hey, you look like the greatest basketball player of all time!"

"How... dare... you?"

Man Sues Park for Not Labeling Bathrooms Well Enough
Back in 1995, upon attending a Billy Joel Concert at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego, Robert Glaser felt nature calling and went off to relieve himself. Little did he know that the bathrooms at the stadium were unisex (which is 100% inappropriate at a Billy Joel concert.) Thus, when he got there, he found a shocking sight: a woman using a urinal to pee. This traumatized Glaser and turned his wee little problem into a big one.

He went around the entire stadium to find a place to pee in peace, but all he found were women in the restrooms. Terrified at the idea that one of them would suddenly pull down their pants and crouch over the urinals, or that he was in a ladies' restroom and therefore "breaking rules", he resolved to hold it in for four hours. This "emotional distress" and 'embarrassment" that he suffered were later used as complaints in the lawsuit he filed against the stadium and the city of San Diego for $5.4 million. He lost and to this day, women still have the chance to use a urinal to pee in San Diego. God bless America.

Woman Sues Google Maps for Bad Directions
It's official. Technology has replaced all common sense and brain function. Curse you, Google. We are helpless without you. And especially helpless if you are Lauren Rosenberg.

The specifics of this story involve Rosenberg trying to walk from 96 Daly Street, Park City, Utah, to 1710 Prospector Avenue, Park City, Utah, using Google maps on her BlackBerry as her guide. A part of the Google directions she got involved a half-mile walk down Deer Valley Drive. When she got there, she found that the road itself had no pedestrian pathway or sidewalks. Why? Because Deer Valley Drive was also known as Utah State Route 224.

However, Rosenberg continued following directions and started walking right down a major, major higway with a lot of high-speeding cars. When she got hit by one, she sued Google for leading her there. She demanded 100,000 dollars, claiming the directions were unreasonable and unsafe, despite the fact the road was obviously unfit for pedestrians and that upon the map, Google clearly marks Route 224 as a major thoroughfare. Rosenberg apparently never saw the side roads she could have used. Nor did she pay attention that Google posts a warning about the safety and reliability of its directions with every map search.

To be fair, the warning apparently never shows up in cellphones or when giving directions. And apparently it doesn't show up in people's brains either. It has come to the point where if Google tells you to walk into the middle of a heavily-used highway, so be it.

Man Sues Dry Cleaners for $67 Million for Losing Pants
"I'll sue the pants off you!"... literally.

A Washington, D.C. judge took his pants to get dry-cleaned at a family-owned business called Custom Cleaners. According to him, they never returned the correct pair of pants, and betrayed their "satisfaction guaranteed" sign in their store.

This served as enough reason to sue the business for 67 million dollars for losing his pants a.k.a. the most expensive pants in the history of pants.

Although later on, he was gracious enough to drop the case down to only, just only, 54 millions dollars -- what a nice guy, right?

Lawsuit language has never sounded so beautiful. Roy Pearson, the offended pants-man, passionately describes his œmental suffering, inconvenience and discomfort at the hands of a business where "never before in recorded history have a group of defendants engaged in such misleading and unfair business practices" to the judge. Basically, life without pants has been hell.

Pearson continued his tirade, always referring to himself as we (until the judge corrected him), in hopes he could get the thousands of Americans who are subject to "satisfaction guaranteed" signs to stand up and fight for their rights for quality service.

The case ended with the dry-cleaner owner holding up a pair of pressed pants, facing the judge, the jury and the plaintiff, and delivering the final blow to Pearson's case. "These are your pants", he said. Pearson ran out of the testimony, tears streaming down his face, shocked at such an injustice. To this day, he denies that those are his pants.

Why Does This Taser Fire Bullets?
Perhaps it seems to be a cliche to say it, but only in this country can you get away with murder by suing someone else.

In the city of Madera, California, where there is absolutely nothing for anyone to do, after responding to a disturbance call, police arrested Evadero Torres, handcuffed him and brought to the backseat of a police vehicle. Sounds like a typical day in the life of a Police officer. Except when this guy tried a Pineapple Express by attempting to kick out vehicle windows and wrestle himself free from the handcuffs and grips of the officers subduing him. It lead up to where one of the officers, Marcie Norieg, took out her taser to make the suspect go nice and quiet, which makes sense at this point.

Well, it worked. Sort of. The only problem was that Noriega didn’t take out her taser. She took out her gun and thought she tasered the suspect, but had instead shot him in the chest and killed him.

The response? Not only were charges not pressed upon Noriega, but the police force sued the makers of the Taser gun under suspicion that it its design was too similar to that of a real gun -- attributing that reason as the cause of the man's death, obviously not the negligent officer.

Woman Sues Halloween Horror Nights Because It Was "Too Scary"
A woman sued Universal Studios because it was causing her "œemotional distress". The distress in question happened when Cleanthi Peters and her granddaughter exited a ride to find an employee with a chainsaw leaping out of the dark and chasing them out of the ride.

They swore that Leatherface was attacking them in the middle of public, like any logical human being attending an event at a park that markets itself as the scariest experience you'll ever have at a theme park and often features headlining attractions such as 3D Saw-style torture and a haunted house filled with your darkest fears.

Screaming, they ran out of the ride, out onto the park and slipped on a wet spot, leaving them helpless when Leatherface caught up to them and brandished his chainsaw in their faces. There was much crying and hugging and praying galore and there probably were some clothes that needed to be changed.

Instead of feeling thankful of being alive, the woman turned around and sued the park for $15,000 dollars. Why didn't she win? Well, only because the park was going through "Halloween Horror Nights" and they "alley" where this happened was the Haunted House.

The Best Minnesota Vikings of All Time
A list of the best Minnesota Vikings of all time. Formed in 1961, the Minnesota Vikings have been one of the NFL's hard luck franchises. The team has had a lot of success, making the Super Bowl in 1969 along with 25 playoff berths since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. But despite that and three more Super Bowl appearances, the Vikings have yet to win a Super Bowl championship. That isn't due to the lack of great players. The Vikings have had a number of superstars wear the purple and gold. For years, the Purple People Eaters, the nickname for the Vikings defensive line, were one of the most intimidating in the league. The Vikings had several Hall of Famer suit up for them during their Super Bowl years like Fran Tarkenton, Alan Page and Ron Yary. These players are considered some of the best football players of all time.

The Vikings have drafted well over the years. They've drafted two of the best players ever in Randy Moss and 2012 NFL MVP Adrian Peterson. In 1990, the team successfully claimed Cris Carter off waivers. Carter was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013 and is one of the best wide receivers in football history.

This is the list of the greatest Minnesota Vikings of all time. If you think someone should be on this list of the best Vikings of all time, then feel free to add him to the list. Vote or rerank this list of the greatest Minnesota Vikings ever.

Serial Killers Who Were Sexually Abused

List of serial killers who were sexually abused. When a person is revealed to be a serial killer, many people like to delve into their childhoods to see just what went wrong. What happened in their formative years that could have affected their minds? Were their bad childhoods linked to their crimes? These types of questions sometimes lead to revelations about negative childhood experiences that these serial killers faced. Sometimes, violent perpetrators experienced violent crimes from an early age. Serial killers who have sexual components to their murders sometimes dealt with sexual abuse in their childhood.

The serial killers on this list have admitted to being sexually abused in their past. Whether it was used in their defense when on trial for their lives or came out after the fact, these vicious killers dealt with unimaginable hardships from an early age. What serial killers were sexually abused? How did it factor into their crimes? This list begins to answer those questions and more.

The Greatest TV Characters of All Time
List of TV's most memorable characters, of all time, chosen by the Ranker community. What makes a character live on in the public's memory, even years after the original run of their respective TV programs? In some cases, it's the amount of depth that the show's writers, actors and other creators were able to bring to the character over the course of many years. For many of the greatest TV characters of all time, audiences feel like they get to know personalities like Dexter Morgan from "Dexter." Even after the show leaves the air, they may not want that relationship to end. (Thankfully, they don't have to, as many shows live on for years after their cancellation on DVD and in syndication.) The best TV characters are ones that you feel like you know and that you'd want to be friends with.

TV has brought many characters to life who have been extremely compelling, even if they are not entirely likeable. Viewers may not wish to know dangerous, shadowy figures like Tony Soprano, Vernon Schillinger and Omar Little in reality, but following their exploits safely from the comfort of your living room can be appealing. Likewise, people who might be aloof or downright unpleasant in real life - think "Mad Men's" Don Draper or Al Swearengen of "Deadwood" - can prove charming, even admirable, when seen at a distance, with the subtext and intricacy that a long-running TV show can provide.

Who is the greatest TV character ever? This list contains the greatest, most fascinating and most enduring fictional characters from TV of all time. Be sure to vote for your favorites, and if some of your favorite characters aren't represented, go ahead and re-rank the list to contribute to the discussion.

Serial Killers Who Suffered From Mental Illness

Serial Killers Who Suffered From Mental Illness

List of serial killers who have suffered from mental illness, from schizophrenia to borderline personality disorder. Psychologists have spent decades studying the brains of known serial killers in an attempt to discover what makes them tick. Are serial killers built just like the rest of us or are their brains wired differently, causing them to become vicious, unrepentant killers? Many serial killers suffer from anti-social personality disorder (APD) which does not usually have a clinical diagnosis. APD allows a killer to easily manipulate and charm people without the burden of empathy. However, some serial killers suffer from deeper mental disorders, which affect their ability to tell right from wrong.

When a serial killer is diagnosed with a mental illness such as paranoid schizophrenia, it puts into question whether they can stand trial to face justice. For this reason, many killers go undiagnosed until after their trial, if at all. Although many killers claim to be crazy to get out of being executed, very few are actually diagnosed with a mental disorder.

This list features serial killers who have suffered from some sort of mental illness. These killers often killed because of their disorder.

http://www.ranker.com/list/serial-killers-who-suffered-from-mental-illness/ranker-crime,

Albert Fish
In the early 1900s, Albert Fish claimed to have raped, killed, and cannibalized hundreds of children. However, only 3 victims were ever found. Fish has a long family history of mental illness, with both his siblings ending up in mental hospitals. At one point, Fish's psychiatrist called him a psychiatric phenomenon for all his disorders. Fish claimed God told him to kill the children, but his insanity plea was still rejected and he was executed in 1936.
David Berkowitz
David Berkowitz aka Son of Sam was responsible for a crime spree from 1976-1977 that saw him take the lives of 6 people. After he was caught, Berkowitz claimed that his neighbor's dog told him to kill. He was later diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
Ed Gein
Ed Gein was the inspiration for some of the scariest fictional killers, including Norman Bates and Leatherface. After being charged with the murder and mutilation of multiple victims, he was deemed unfit for trial and diagnosed with schizophrenia. Ten years later, he faced trial and was found guilty, but spent the rest of his days in a mental hospital.
Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. However, he was still found competent to stand trial for his 17 murders. He was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison, but ended up being murdered by a fellow inmate.
Kenneth Bianchi
During his trial for the rape and murder of 12 women, Kenneth Bianchi plead insanity, claiming he had multiple personalities. The prosecution's psychiatrist had doubts and even tricked Bianchi into creating a third personality. Bianchi was sentenced to life in prison.
Richard Chase
Richard Chase killed 6 people in Sacramento and famously drank their blood, leading to his nickname, "The Vampire of Sacramento." Before his first murder, Chase was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and was institutionalized for a year. Despite his condition, Chase was not able to use an insanity plea in his case. He killed himself in prison.
David Gonzalez
David Gonzalez killed 4 people in 2009 and claimed he was inspired by Nightmare on Elm Street. He had previously been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, but wasn't properly treated.

Serial Killers Who Were Adopted

List of serial killers who were adopted. In the U.S., therehave been at least 500 known serial killers. Of that select group, 16% wereadopted. The number of adopted kids who have turned to murder is astounding, leading some psychologists to believe that some of the feelings that come withbeing adopted can lead to murderous thoughts. In fact, adopted men and womenare 15 times more likely to kill their parents. Is there a link between beingadopted and murder? If so, what are the circumstances that make an adoptedchild want to kill?

Joel Rifkin famously tried to use his adoption as a defensein his murder trial in 1994. He claimed that he murdered 17 women because ofthe trauma of being adopted lead to his insanity. Ultimately the defense didn’twork but it started a conversation about the link between adoption and murder. Some psychologists believe that the resentment and anger from adoption could bea possible cause for murder, but no concrete link has been proven.

This list includes the serial killers that were adopted at ayoung age. Whether their adoptions lead to their murders is up for debate.

15 Minutes of Fame: Where Are They Now?
With the advent of Youtube and reality shows, there's no shortage of those who have held the spotlight for their 15 minutes of fame. The "15 minutes of fame" expression refers to a short-lived, highly public stint in the spotlight for celebs and regular, everyday people as well. These experiences are often fueled by tabloid rumors or highly unusual circumstances that, for "15 minutes," captures the media's attention.

The "15 minutes" expression is credited to Andy Warhol, who included the words "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes" in the program for a 1968 exhibition of his work at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Sweden.

Here's a plethora of folks, from Olympic champs to politicians, who at some point had their 15 minutes. Some have been reduced to tabloid fodder, while others took their 15 minutes of fame in the mass media and turned it into lucrative careers. So, where are they now?

Nancy Kerrigan
Now a married mother of three, the 44-year-old retired figure skater recently stepped back in the spotlight as a commentator for the Sochi Winter Olympics. She's also the subject of the upcoming documentary The Price of Gold, which covers the big controversy that surrounded Kerrigan's attack during the 1994 Olympics.

Tonya Harding
Despite a brief stint as a celebrity boxer (she quit the sport, complaining of asthma), Harding primarily lives outside the public eye. Due to the Kerrigan incident in '94, she was banned from pro skating for life. She was married in 2010, and she and her new husband had their first child, a boy, in 2011.

Chris Crocker
Crocker, whose look has changed dramatically since the "Leave Britney Alone" video, has been up to a multitude of activities in the last few years. He continues to produce a slew of Youtube vids for his massive following, and he has also signed on to do a gay porn flick with legendary gay porn producer Chi Chi La Rue.

Crocker has also been in discussion about various television deals, including a show to be produced by MTV titled Chris Crocker's 15 Minutes More.
Levi Johnston
With a Playboy photo spread and Bristol Palin finally behind him, Levi hooked up with another woman and became a baby daddy for a second time. This time, however, he ended up tying the knot in 2012 with the baby's mother, Sunny Oglesby.
Nicole Polizzi
Now a mom with a year-old son, Snooki just announced that she's pregnant with her second child. She also appeared recently on "The View" to talk about her new book Baby Bumps.

Levi Johnston Then
Johnston was thrust into baby daddy spotlight during Sarah Palin's 2008 campaign for VP. His on-again, off-again baby mama drama with ex-fiance Bristol Palin never ceased to entertain.
Chris Crocker Then
Who can forget the heartfelt yet hilarious wails of Chris Crocker on Youtube defending his precious Britney Spears? The video "Leave Britney Alone (it got over 4 million hits in its first two days online) is genius and remains a Youtube classic.
Nicole Snooki Polizzi Then
Known for her crazy and wild antics on MTV reality show "Jersey Shore," Snooki was the motor mouth that just wouldn't stop. After getting punched in the face by a guy during a bar room altercation (an incident caught on video that went viral), Snooki's personal appearance fee jumped $2000 to $10,000.

She's also considered one of the highest paid reality show stars, netting $150,000 per show.
Nancy Kerrigan Then
While Nancy Kerrigan was obviously a talented figure skater (after all, she was competing in the Olympics), her big claim to fame really didn't happen until she was attacked at a skating rink in January, 1994. Planned by her longtime skating rival Tonya Harding, a hired hand attacked Kerrigan after she exited a practice session on the rink. Once off the rink and out of sight, the man ran up to her and hit her with a club on her knee. The "Whyyyy!?" whack was felt around the world.

The intent was to injure Kerrigan so she wouldn't be able to compete in the upcoming Olympics, which Team Tonya believed would easily land Harding the frontrunner spot for the gold. Didn't work. Kerrigan ended up winning a silver medal two weeks later at the Olympics; Harding ended up banned from pro skating for life.
Tonya Harding Then
The Olympics' troubled child. Frantic that she wouldn't top Nancy Kerrigan for an Olympic medal in 1994, Harding allegedly conspired with her ex-husband to attack Kerrigan, aiming to injure her so she'd be unable to compete in the Olympics.

Fortunately, Kerrigan was not injured too badly and was able to capture a silver medal despite the shenanigans of Harding and friends. It was never actually proven that Harding had a hand in the attack. But come on.
